I’ve been inspired by my Pinterest followings to run through and edit all my pictures from my trip to Europe earlier this year. More of the food related pics I’m going to save for my other food related project but I thought these were a good start.
Am loving pink at the moment (shame it kind of clashes with my flame-y hair) and visiting Europe in spring time definitely gave me the perfect fix of flowers and pink-ness.

First up – Columbia Road Flower Market. When we lived in London this was one of my favourite places for a Sunday morning visit. No matter what the season, flowers of all colours would be crowding the displays, and the East London accents calling out the prices always gave me a little tingle. How lucky to get such a fix of peonies.

More peonies in East London. Our friends have moved out of the traditional Kiwi/Aussie haunts of London and out to Wanstead in the east – it has such a village-y feel to it, with a lovely green and a couple of great coffee shops. And lots more gardens, obviously from houses being lived in by their owners rather than transient travellers.

Our last stop in Europe was Keukenhof, the famous tulip park in Lisse, southwest of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Keukenhof is only open for about 9 weeks every year and contains around seven million tulip flowers along 15km of pathways. Flower overload!! I took about a million photos, trying to get pics of the name cards on each so I would remember which one was which. I’m so looking forward to having my own garden so maybe this time next winter I’ll be able to use the pics to plant my own tulip wonderland…
